Yves Saint Laurent are starting the new season with a gorgeous new product. The YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Stain is the brand's first ever liquid matte stain, so we were majorly excited to put it to the test. The stain promises a highly pigmented matte colour which tattoos the lips for up to eight hours of comfortable wear.
Unfortunately, the words longevity, matte and comfortable don't tend to go hand in hand when it comes to lipstick – but this is where we were more than pleasantly surprised by this lovely lippy. Even on our slightly chapped autumn lips, the feel of these were ultra comfortable, hydrating and felt wonderfully weightless which is ideal at the best of times but even more so during the cooler months.
Wearing Shade 1.
Another element which made the whole experience of the lip stain ah-mazing was the applicator. We think decent lipstick applicators are overlooked – this one deserves mention. The angled doe foot brush is the perfect balance of precision and comfort with its velvety feel. The applicator made it plain sailing to accurately follow the curves of our lips and add a little more fullness where wanted.
There are a gorgeous 18 shades in the range, showcasing wearable nudes through to bold, vampy purples. The stunning spectrum of colours means there is something for every skin tone and every personal style. On application, the shades are a bold, full coverage streak of colour. We also found the colour was buildable and could either be left as a single swiped wash of colour, or layered to create a highly saturated shade.

In terms of long wear, this pretty product did put up a good fight against our many (many) cups of tea throughout the working [...]
We can't quite believe that London Fashion Week has come to an end. The much anticipated week was a whirlwind of beautiful clothes, cosmetics and celebs, leaving us with major post fashion week blues. One thing in particular we can't get out of our heads are the gorgeous beauty looks that graced the catwalks. From windswept hair to neon bright eyes, designers pulled out all the stops to make these the most memorable looks yet. It was far from easy to narrow it down, but read on for our round up of the best beauty looks of LFW.
Thick Liner at Julien Macdonald
Forget soft eyes for spring, Julien Macdonald is delivering the drama into SS18. His racy, netted designs were complimented by thick, sultry eyeliner. Whatever your eye shape, blacked out eyes are a guaranteed way to amp up the glam with minimal effort on your part. Equip yourself with your favourite black kohl liner and the rest is history. We love the Lancome Le Crayon Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner.
Windswept Fringes at Preen
You know that look where the wind blows your hair into a ginormous face consuming fringe? Yeah, thanks to Preen, that's fashion now. The rules of hair have been well and truly discarded by Preen and we can't lie, we're kind of obsessed. This rebellious look was offset with delicate pink and peachy makeup, leaving us in hope that messy fringes are the new pretty.
Vibrant Eyes at House of Holland
We can always count on Henry Holland for bold display and from the catwalk set, to the clothes, to the beauty and we were not disappointed. We saw neon, block colours applied from lash line to brow bone creating eyes fluorescent enough to see from space. The best part about this bright look is that it's [...]
We headed to London Fashion Week to celebrate our designers' new collections.
Whether you love ultra-pretty dresses or favour bright sports-luxe pieces, there's something for everyone in the new spring/summer collections. Here's everything you need to know…Preen by Thornton Bregazzi
Pastels, ruffles and beading: Thea Bregazzi's and Justin Thornton's collection was every girl's dream. With throw-on dresses in every candy-cane colour, the trophy dress is at the top of our wish list. Take style notes from the catwalk and layer your summer dress on top of knitwear and long socks to make the look work now.
Jasper Conran's collection was all things bright and beautiful with dresses and jackets in every colour of the rainbow. Our favourite wardrobe classics were updated with sumptuously silky fabrics and lightweight peek-a-boo layers. We've got our eye on the colourful bomber jackets, wedding-guest-ready maxi dresses and bold parka jackets.
If there were three words to sum up Julien's dazzling collection it could only be: glitter, party and supermodels. Alessandra Ambrosio, Winnie Harlow and Martha Hunt strutted down the catwalk in the designer's show-stopping party gowns. The dancefloor of sparkles has got us wishing for party season already.
If stripes are your go-to print, Henry Holland's surf inspired collection is the summer update you need. Models surfed the catwalk wearing cute wave print cami dresses, striped skirts and colourful co-ords. The accessories were equally stylish; we'll be reaching for crochet bags, retro sunglasses and tinsel slides for instant cool factor come summer.
